Below please find an overview of the team that will be caring for and developing your child

My name is Sarah, and I started working at Building Blocks in January 2015 as an Early Years Educator. I have an NVQ Level 3 in childcare which I achieved in 2007. I have gained lots of experience as a key carer based within our Sessional Pre School as a primary key carer but also support the school runs and lunch support in our main building which has enabled me to make bonds with all children and staff. I enjoy working with children of all ages and my role gives me the wonderful opportunity to support children to learn and progress across all the ages. I started my leadership role within the Beautiful Babies classroom and I absolutely love it! When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my children, I have two daughters and a son.

My name is Alina, and I joined Building Blocks in June 2024. I have a level 3 Diploma in Early Years and previously worked in a nursery caring for children aged 4 months to 4 years old. Prior to this, I worked with young adults with learning disabilities as a Support Worker, and children aged 3 years old to 18 years old with visual impairments as a Social Rehabilitator. My favourite aspect of working in childcare is understanding each child's unique perspective of the world around them, and supporting them to develop their skills for childhood and beyond. In my personal life, I'm an amateur photographer, I enjoy exploring new places, and trying new foods with my family.

My name is Amena, I come from Afghanistan and moved to the UK over 20 years ago and I have six children (two sons and four daughters). I also have lots of wonderful grandchildren! I have been working at Building Blocks since December 2018 full time. I completely fell in love with children and I applied to work at Building Blocks whilst working through an agency. I am completing my level 2 in childcare and I love to bring my new found knowledge to the classroom. In my spare time I enjoy music and reading books. I am kind, honest and very patient and I love spending time with my family.
