Dorothy Baker

Nursery Chef

My name is Dorothy Baker and I joined Building   Blocks in June 2021. I have worked in the catering industry since 2004 for Wandsworth Council Social Services, SEND schools, Academies and colleges. Throughout my career I have developed my knowledge and skills in Food Hygiene, Health & Safety of the Environment, attended ISCC Health & Safety Training Workshop. I am hard working, punctual, and passionate about cooking, enjoy working as part of a team!  In my spare time I enjoy painting, drawing, sewing, cleaning and spending time with family and grandchildren who are very important to me.

Harmony Salih-Ashley

Early Years Educator

My name is Harmony, I joined Building  Blocks in April 2023. I am a highly motivated individual who has worked in the childcare industry for 5 years, working with children aged 1 -5yrs old. I am a happy bubbly character who likes bringing out the best in people and working as part of a team. Working in childcare is a very rewarding job, what is important to me is to create a healthy relationship with the children, to provide a high standard of physical, intellectual, emotional, and social skills throughout the setting. I enjoy anything creative or mucky! Art and crafts, dressing up and role play. In my spare time I enjoy Musical Theatre and sports.


Tina Essilfie

Early Years Educator

My name is Tina I joined Building Blocks in December 2023. I have been working in childcare since 2017. I have a certificate in preparation for childcare and a Bachelor of Science with Honours Degree in Public Health and Health Promotion. I previously worked as an agency member of staff at Building Blocks, caring for children aged 3 months to rising 5 years of age. What is important to me is showing love and affection to children, doing different activities, especially art and sing songs to them. In my spare time I enjoy cooking, dancing and spending time with my family.


Salma Shaarawy

Early Years Educator

My name is Salma I joined   Building   Blocks in April 2024. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from Ryerson University in Canada. I previously worked as a Marketing Manager in Egypt. I have just migrated to the UK and I am excited to start my career in childcare. I have a kind positive attitude. In my spare time I enjoy Reading, Colouring, listening to music, and going for walks.


Rashmi Nanwani

Early Years Educator / Primary Key Carer

My name is Rashmi Nanwani, and I joined Building Blocks in June 2021 at our Teddington setting. I am now on the Staff Bank. I am patient, attentive, and people regularly associate me with being nurturing. I have a flexible approach and adapt easily to new environments, will ask questions to further gain knowledge and experience in childcare. In my spare time, I enjoy going to museums, exhibitions, spending quality time with my family, and I recently learnt a new skill, knitting. I have completed my Level 3 in Childcare and Education, which I thoroughly enjoyed, and I am looking forward to putting it to use and developing my journey further.


Stanimira Ivanova

My name is Stanimira, and I joined Building Blocks in September 2025. I am currently studying towards my Level 2 in Childcare and work as a volunteer at Holy Trinity Primary School. I am very loyal, organised and disciplined and enjoy spending time with my family (my husband and 2 daughters) and doing yoga.


Adam Ebrahim

Early Years Educator

My name is Adam. I joined Building  Blocks   in October 2024, working in the Kids Club. In September 2025 I moved to the Staff Bank team. I studied at The Brit School and graduated in 2023 with a UAL level 3 Extended Diploma in the Performing Arts with Distinction. I attended the Bridge Theatre course where I got a UAL Level 4 Diploma in Performance with Distinction. I work at Laine Theatre Arts as an Assistant Drama Teacher. I'm an avid lover of the performing and creative arts and try to incorporate it into my work wherever I can. I also care a lot about making sure my work is inclusive and uplifting for children and staff. I especially enjoy creating plays, songs and stories with others. In my spare time I like to play Dungeons and Dragons, listen to music and draw. 


Ally Ashton

Early Years Educator

My name is Ally I joined   Building   Blocks in March 2024. I’m a bubbly, inquisitive and caring person currently studying my A-levels, and hoping to study Biology at university next year. I have previously worked part time in a cafe and as an assistant at a hair salon. What is important to me are my friends and family, my health and my education. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, being outside in nature or chilling watching a film.


Rebecca Ashton

Early Years Educator

My name is Rebecca, I joined Building Blocks in April 2025, I am an artist and I have just completed a Masters at the Royal Drawing School. I am fun-loving, enthusiastic, and kind, previously worked with children supporting them through art . In my spare time I like to draw, write, go dancing and travel with my friends.
