Blocks
I have been given the opportunity to develop as a professional gaining a Level 5 in Leadership & Management. I have been one of the managers in Teddington since September 2014. I have managed both the Main Building and Kids Club during this time. My name is Levi and I started working at Building Blocks In January 2026. I have been working in childcare for the past 8 years, mainly in wraparound care settings within primary schools. During this time, I’ve enjoyed building positive relationships with children and supporting them in a safe, nurturing environment.
What’s most important to me is always trying my best and giving my all to everything I do. I aim to be empathetic, friendly and honest in my approach, and I pride myself on being someone children and families can feel comfortable around.
Outside of work, I love arts and crafts, music, swimming, and spending quality time with friends and family.

Chernice Ernesta
Early Years Educator/Secondary Key Carer
Hi, my name is Chernice and I joined the Building Blocks team as an Early Years Educator in May 2026.
I am a mum of two and I love making special memories for children while giving them a nurturing and caring environment where they can feel happy, safe, and supported. I have spent many years dreaming of working in Early Years, so I am really looking forward to beginning this journey.
Family is very important to me, especially my children, and I always try to bring kindness, patience, and positivity into everything I do. I love being outdoors in nature, going for walks, and exploring as many new places as I can.
I would describe myself as kind, energetic, and positive. My approach to supporting children is slow, gentle and reassuring, as I truly believe children thrive when their needs, feelings, and thoughts are valued and listened to. I am excited to get to know all of the children and families at Building Blocks.

Ela Kaya
Early Years Educator
Paediatric First Aid trained
Hi, I’m Ela and I joined Building Blocks in January 2026. I am an experienced educator with over 25 years of teaching experience, originally trained as a science teacher. Throughout my career, I have worked across Early Years settings and After School Clubs, where I have supported children through play-based, creative, and interactive learning. I have delivered a wide range of activities including STEM projects, drama, storytelling, and creative arts, and I particularly enjoy working in lively group settings where children can learn together.
Creating a safe, happy, and engaging environment for children is very important to me. I believe children learn best when they feel secure, included, and excited to take part. I value teamwork, clear communication, and mutual respect, and I enjoy being an active, positive member of the staff team.
I bring enthusiasm and positive energy into the room and enjoy encouraging children to work together, explore new ideas, and express themselves creatively. I especially love hands-on activities such as science experiments, arts and crafts, drama games, and storytelling.
