I started working at Building Blocks when we first opened in 2001, I originally joined as a kitchen assistant, supporting the chef in the kitchen before moving into the classroom to give one to one support to children with Special Educational needs. I then worked within the Kids’ Club/After School and Holiday Club based at Dundonald Congregational Church for 9 years. In January 2020 I moved to become the Deputy Early Years Manager at Nursery School. I am very proud to say I have developed my professional role and have achieved a NVQ Level 2 in Childcare Cache Level 3 Diploma in Play work and a Level 3 in Management, Level 1 Makaton. I am also trained as a paediatric first aider and Adult first aider. My Hobbies include reading, writing stories and watching films. I love my family and have a daughter and grandson whom I love very much. 

My name is Marley, and I joined Building Blocks in October 2024. I have experience of working in multiple SEN schools, supporting children aged 5 years old to 18 years old and also coaching children and young adults in sports. My wellbeing and values are important to me, also caring for others and anyone in and around me on a regular basis.
I played Semi Professional Basketball, and enjoy going to the Gym, acquiring new knowledge and listening to Music.

My name is Fatema, I joined Building Blocks in July 2025, I have a Level 2 and 3 in Health and Social care from Kingston College. I have previous experience in caring for 3 children sole care aged from 2-7 years old. My duties included activities such as school runs, providing rich stimulating activities for the children inside and outside. Creating healthy meals for the children, supporting with homework, proactive in healthy living and supporting bed time. 
What is important to me, is to learn and accomplish a great bond with staff, children and parents, to enable the children to grow, learn through play whilst having lots of fun. 

My name is Madison and I joined Building Blocks in August 2023. I have recently gained a 2.1 BA degree in inclusive performance at the Chicken Shed Theatre Company. I have experience working with children aged 5 years of age to 14 years of age as a personal carer, supporting trips to the park, reading stories. My role as a group lead supported children during rehearsals for shows at the University. At the University, I learned lots of transferable skills which I am excited to share with the children and staff in the classroom environment. I am looking forward to bringing fresh new ideas to continue to support children with my aid to develop to their fullest potential in a safe environment. In my spare time, I like to socialise with my friends.

I have worked for Building Blocks as a Driver since 2008 and hold a degree in Design and Technology. I enjoy my role with Building Blocks as everyday with the children is a different day. I do the Nursery School morning and evening shuttle runs and assist with the Kids Club school runs. I enjoy taking the children swimming and to Forest School and supporting on Holiday Club trips. I am a family man and enjoy spending time with my Grandchildren outside of work.
